There are sections in the handbook meant for recording the child\u2019s growth, development, immunizations, etc., from pregnancy to childbirth, to before the child enters elementary<br>school. Some parents may have filled in how their pregnancy was going, kept a record of their pregnancy checkups, etc., in their Maternal and Child Health Handbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide has-text-align-center is-style-default has-pale-ocean-gradient-background has-background\"><strong>Medical Institution Records (Medical Records)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\" style=\"letter-spacing:1.1px;line-height:2.1\">The medical institution where the birth mother gave birth preserves its records from before and after childbirth in the form of medical records. Medical institutions are required by law to preserve medical records for five years (Article 24, Medical Practitioners\u2019 Act).
