ISSJ Charity Movie Festival
ISSJ has held a movie festival and bazaar twice a year, every June and October. The festival is to help spread the word about exactly what it is we do at ISSJ. We choose movies that will leave a strong impression in the hearts of the audience, and in that respect, leave the message of our organization in their hearts as well. We have received countless support from both volunteers and companies, and the money raised at the event goes towards aiding in the welfare of the children involved with ISSJ.
There will be various kinds of products at Bazaar on the day of the Festival, including crafts hand-made by volunteers and women in Asian countries, donations from supporting organizations, hand-made cakes and cookies, bags, wallets, greeting cards, and many others.
1 yen Community Chest has started in 1997 . We would like to ask for your continuous cooperation. We are also collecting unused Japanese stamps, postcards, and telephone cards. The donations will be used for travel fee for repatriation of children of foreign nationals, intercountry adoptions, protection and assistance fee for abused foreign children and women residing in Japan.
