With the beginning of the New Year,
I am delighted to extend my best wishes for the coming year to the members
and supporters of International Social Service Japan.
Since 1990, ISSJ has been providing useful service to the Royal Thai Embassy
as well as many Japanese and Thai families. Thai regulations require that
any foreigner desiring to adopt a Thai child must submit an application through
an agency authorized by that person's government to process the application.
Authorized by the Japanese Government, ISSJ has fulfilled a crucial role in
coordinating with the Embassy and the Child Adoption Center of the
Department of Public Welfare in Thailand to assist Japanese families
in the adoption of Thai children. Furthermore, ISSJ has also provided counseling
services to numerous Japanese-Thai families. Our relationship has thus been
mutually beneficial, bringing joy and happiness over the past decade to more
than 100 Thai and Japanese families.
The Royal Thai Embassy highly values its excellent cooperative relationship
with ISSJ. We look forward to further cooperative efforts with ISSJ in the
years to come towards assistance in child and family welfare for the Thai
community in Japan, Japanese-Thai families and Japanese families looking towards
the adoption of children from Thailand.
