The 4th Global Sports Festa (International Athletic Meeting) in Kure-shi

 

The Global Sports Festa was held on June 10, 2001 at a gymnasium in Kure-shi under the joint auspices of Kure-shi and Kure International Friendly Association. This event has been held annually since 1998 for the purpose of deepening friendly relations among Japanese and foreigners living in the area of Kure-shi and of forming friendship across boundaries through sports and dancing.

This time, a Japanese-descended Portuguese group, ISSJ Kure, International Friendly Association, Hiroshima "Mecon no Kai", and KUPA jointly held the Festa.

On that day 66 persons including people from Brazil, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines and Indonesia participated and both adults and children enjoyed various games and folklore dances.
